The Burger King in Toronto will finally be coming to town in 2019.
The franchisee is expected to officially announce the location on Thursday at a press conference.
The burger chain was first proposed in December and was confirmed last week.
Toronto is currently home to more than 2,200 Burger King restaurants, with about 2,300 in Toronto alone.
The chain has had a strong presence in the city since its founding in 1962.
The Burger Kings first Canadian outpost opened in the United States in 1993 and has since grown to have more than 1,600 outlets across the country.
The company opened in Toronto in December 2019.
It’s expected to bring more than 50 jobs to the area and will invest about $500 million in the area.
In a statement, Burger King Canada said the company “is thrilled to bring this exciting and innovative concept to Toronto.”
